CREOLE

Domori has the largest Criollo collection in the world:
a world heritage for the taste and recovery of
biodiversity.
Criollo is the most prized variety of cocoa that has risked
to be lost: it is the cocoa of the Maya and the Aztecs,
whose cultivation was gradually abandoned a
due to its low production yield. It is a cocoa
rare and fragile and represents only 0,001% of cocoa
produced in the world. The quality of this cocoa has not
equal: being devoid of tannins (which give acidity
and astringency to the product) Criollo boasts a creaminess, one
roundness and a unique sweetness in the world. With the Project
Criollo, born in 1994 thanks to Gianluca Franzoni, Domori
has recovered this precious variety of cocoa giving birth to
Venezuela at Hacienda San José, the Criollo plantation
largest in the world.

HISTORY

Antoine Dufour, inventor of the chocolate truffle, founded Prestat in
1902 and opens the first shop in central London on South Molton Street.
This became a point of reference for the writer Roald Dahl, author
of the best seller "Charlie & The Chocolate Factory", which paid homage
with Prestat truffles making it the "protagonist" of his novel "Lo Zio
Oswald ".
Prestat has been supplying the British royal family and nobility for many years
and, in 1975, he was awarded the Royal Warrant as the Official Chocolate Supplier to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
